In fact, given that the average MONTHLY wage in that part of the world is around $35 A MONTH, you're not doing too badly by another human being paying them nearly 6 times that. What we're talking about is the fact that these women are earning about $70 a month - compared to your cleaner who can earn in the region of $360. And she sure as hell - you'd hope - isn't knocking her pan in for close on 12 hours a day, every single day of the week. I'd agree - we're talking relative perspective. Nothing to do with how much you had to shell out for rent or a Starbucks....but how much some people are paid in relation to others - in the same country!
