Jessica Alba attended the ‘Escape From Planet Earth’ Los Angeles premiere last night at Mann Chinese 6. The actress went for top-to-toe Louis Vuitton with a red-and-black lacy moment from Pre-Fall 2013, paired with a shoulder bag and embellished shoe. For the red (or blue!) carpet, Jessica dolled up the dramatic, straight-laced lookbook version, which appeared to be hiding under a black overcoat, with Jennifer Meyer jewels, plus her ombre-effect waves and lighter nude lip. But she inserted the heaviness right back in with a pair of black tights that I just couldn’t get behind. Something about the strap of her handbag also cluttered this look. With Bérénice Bejo and Jessica both looking ahead to LV’s pre-fall foray, perhaps the checquered game from Spring 2013 has finally seen its last player. But I doubt it.
