Louis Vuitton broadens Pass app’s reach via New York Times mobile ad

Landing page of Louis Vuitton ad on The NY Times mobile app French fashion label Louis Vuitton is exercising the capabilities of its new Pass application with an advertisement on The New York Times mobile app. The banner ad contains merely the brand’s name against a purple background. After clicking-through, an expanse of options appears with Louis Vuitton’s latest promotional video, “L’invitation au Voyage – Venice,” starring musician David Bowie dominating the landing page. “The landing page is very well done,” said Jeff Gunderman, president of Eye , New York. ”It is simple yet eye-catching, easy to navigate with a few options. “Louis Vuitton is not trying to bring their entire Web site to the mobile device but instead it is clear they have put a lot of effort into the design and user experience,” he said. “However, the banner ad is not effectively designed.
