Obsessed is not strong enough a word to describe how I feel about Shourouk . Based in Paris, the French-Tunisian jewelry designer’s colorful creations are nothing short of awe-inspiring (in 2009, Jean-Paul Gaultier commissioned her to create gems for his show). Now her bags are destined to be the next big thing. Bejeweling a bag is nothing new, but the way Shourouk has seamlessly transferred her delectable jewels onto bags – and managed to make sure it doesn’t look gawdy or kitschy – is no small feat in itself.
