Safe and handbag stolen from luxury home on Hong Kong Island - South China Morning Post (subscription)

A luxury house on Hong Kong Island was burgled and a small safe and a handbag were stolen, prompting police to mount a fruitless manhunt in the early hours of Monday and after daybreak. The break-in came to light at about 11pm on Sunday after a foreign domestic helper, 56, returned to the residence in Manderly Garden off Deep Water Bay Road in Aberdeen and found the front door had been forced open and the house ransacked. “Initial investigations showed a safe and a brown-coloured bag were stolen from one of the bedrooms,” a police spokesman said. Officers are investigating what valuables the safe and handbag contained.
