Catherine Zeta-Jones riffs on retro monochromatic dressing.
She plays screen legend Olivia de Havilland on FX’s hit series Feud, but earlier today actress and fashion plate Catherine Zeta Jones channeled another icon: Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Zeta Jones’s penchant for documenting her worldly wardrobe on Instagram is a fashion fan’s dream and, while in New York City, the Oscar winner gave her followers a thrill by reprising some of the former first lady’s practical yet sophisticated style. A retro riff on monochromatic dressing was the lynchpin behind Zeta Jones’s winning daytime look. A tailored, riding-inspired jacket topped off the actress’s pumpkin top and trouser combo which was grounded by a tonally coordinated ’70s round-toe hidden-platform heel. Putting her own spin on Onassis’s signature accessorizing, Zeta Jones swapped the Gucci hobo for an Hermès Birkin while retaining Jackie’s preference for oversize shades.
