Kara Ross And Donald Drawbertson Collaboration Kara Ross and Donald Drawbertson, also know as Donald Robertson, hosted a VIP dinner on Monday night to celebrate the launch of their handbag collection, following a well-attended reception at the Kara Ross store. “I fell in love with Donald’s work on Instagram and asked a mutual friend, designer Lisa Perry, to make an introduction,” said Ross. “I wanted to create an actual tote that resembled the Whole Foods bags that Donald uses when creating his artwork. We replicated the paper bag in python, calfskin and wax-coated canvas right here in NYC. Donald then took to the bags with acrylic paint, marker and gaffer tape, making them wearable works of art.
